Privacy Policy Version 2.0

Unrealium Privacy Policy

UNREALIUM TECHNOLOGIES INC. · British Columbia, Canada

This Policy explains what personal information UNREALIUM TECHNOLOGIES INC. handles through Unrealium.com, why we need it, who may receive it and how you can control optional uses. It also applies to people whose information appears in a listing or an authorized professional workspace even if they do not have an Unrealium account.

1 Your choices at a glance

You can browse public rental information without agreeing to marketing or publishing a tenant profile. Creating an account does not automatically make your Dream Rental discoverable, expose your phone or email, or invite professional outreach.

Optional settings start off unless you actively enable them or we already hold a valid, specific consent covering the same purpose and scope. Privacy and Consent settings let you see and change your choices. Before a specific contact disclosure or request, we show the recipient and information involved. A paid interaction does not give its purchaser extra permission to see your information.

Some processing is necessary for a service you request, such as authentication, delivering your message, recording an authorized payment or protecting the account. We identify this separately from optional settings. Turning off an optional feature does not disable basic browsing or unrelated account functions.

2 Who is responsible

UNREALIUM TECHNOLOGIES INC., registration number BC1536904, operates the platform. Our Privacy Officer can be reached at privacy@unrealium.com, +1 236 997 1660, or 440 Newlands Road, West Vancouver, BC V7T 1W1, Canada.

Our handling of personal information is subject to applicable privacy law, including British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act and, where applicable, federal Canadian privacy law. This Policy does not claim that one Canadian policy satisfies every country’s requirements.

A landlord, professional or brokerage that receives information for its own services may have separate privacy responsibilities. Where we operate a restricted workspace for an organization, that organization determines the authorized purposes for its client records and we process those records within the applicable arrangement. Contact us if you need help identifying the responsible organization.

3 Information we handle

The information depends on the features you use. It may include:

  • Account and contact information: name, login identifiers, email, phone, selected roles, authentication records and consent history.
  • Rental preferences: budget, preferred area or drawn search area, timing, property features and other preferences you choose to enter.
  • Listings and authority records: property details, media, advertiser identity, business or brokerage details, and limited evidence needed to assess a property claim or professional status.
  • Communications and interactions: messages, chosen recipients, delivery status, viewing requests, confirmations, applications you explicitly send, feedback, reviews and support correspondence.
  • Payment records: purchases, reservations, charges, refunds, invoices and payment-provider references. Payment screens identify any information handled directly by a payment provider.
  • Technical information: device and browser information, IP address, session and security logs, and cookie or similar storage data appropriate to your choices.
  • Authorized professional records: relevant client details, communications and property information imported into a restricted workspace from a permitted source, such as a connected CRM.

Do not put identity documents, banking details, Social Insurance Numbers, medical information or unnecessary information about children in a public profile or ordinary chat. If a separate application or verification step needs sensitive information, it must explain the fields, purpose and recipients before collection. A landlord’s request does not by itself make every requested field necessary or lawful.

4 Where information comes from

We receive information from you, from people you choose to communicate with, from authorized advertisers and professional integrations, and from technical interactions with the platform. We may also process property information from external advertisements or data providers where there is an appropriate lawful basis.

Public accessibility does not automatically authorize every collection, republication or use of personal information. A non-user’s information is not covered by another user’s account consent. External-source records retain source information where available, and affected people can request access, correction or removal without registering. A listing’s presence does not establish that its advertiser agreed to receive Unrealium marketing.

5 Necessary account and service processing

We use the information needed to create and secure your account; apply your choices; return a search you request; publish content you choose to publish; deliver messages and requests you authorize; operate purchased features; keep payment and consent records; answer support requests; prevent misuse; and meet legal obligations.

These purposes do not authorize unrestricted use of every field in your profile. We limit information and access to what each function needs. Where consent is the basis for a requested service, the notice and your action identify that service. Where law permits or requires processing without consent, we rely on that specific basis and limit the processing accordingly.

If you withdraw information necessary for a particular feature, we explain what can no longer be provided. You can still refuse unrelated optional uses.

6 Separate optional settings

The available settings explain their audience, information and effect. A feature that has not launched cannot be enabled or treated as consented to in advance through a general acceptance of this Policy.

  • Private matching: compare your saved preferences with property information to suggest matches to you. This does not by itself make you discoverable to other users.
  • Property offers: make the limited preference summary shown in the preview discoverable to eligible landlords and authorized property representatives so they can send relevant offers inside Unrealium. Your direct contact details remain private.
  • Professional outreach: separately allow eligible licensed professionals to send relevant service introductions inside the platform. This is not automatic appointment of a representative or permission for external marketing.
  • Demand map participation: contribute selected, reduced-detail preferences to grouped rental-demand statistics. This is separate from individual discoverability and messaging.
  • Public profile: publish only the fields and audience shown in the preview. Private tenant criteria and contact details are not automatically included.
  • Phone and email sharing: separately make each field available for a disclosure you confirm to a named recipient. Public display, where offered, requires a distinct publication choice.
  • Notifications: separately choose optional rental alerts, email or SMS updates, and Unrealium promotional messages. Sharing an email with an advertiser does not subscribe you to Unrealium marketing.
  • Optional analytics or personalization: allow the specifically described measurement or saved-activity use beyond essential operations.
  • Optional AI assistance: choose a supported AI feature after reviewing what information it will receive and how the output will be used.

There is no single required “accept all” switch. Choosing one purpose does not enable the others. Landlords’ and professionals’ contact settings apply to their own information too; legally required advertiser identification cannot be hidden while an advertisement remains published.

7 What other users can see

Your private account records, saved search history, identity evidence and private messages are not public profiles. A recipient receives only the fields and content permitted for the interaction or workspace. A role label or paid subscription does not grant access to all tenants or all CRM records.

Before sending a viewing request, the screen identifies the original advertiser or other chosen recipient and the information being sent. We use a supported route to that recipient. Replies can appear in the dashboard when supported, or the recipient may contact you directly if you chose to share those details. We do not promise an external reply will be imported into the dashboard.

You may direct a message to one advertiser without allowing other landlords or professionals to discover you. Recipients must not add you to unrelated marketing lists or redistribute your information without a lawful basis. Information already received may remain subject to the recipient’s own lawful recordkeeping duties.

8 Matching and demand statistics

Matching can use selected price, location, timing and property criteria, together with relevant information available within an authorized workspace. Scores and explanations can be wrong. You may correct the inputs and ask about a result. Platform matching is not a credit report or a decision granting or refusing a tenancy.

We do not treat refusal of optional sharing as a negative trust or tenant-quality signal. Users must not apply unlawful discriminatory criteria. Where information contributes to a consequential decision, applicable access, accuracy, retention and review requirements continue to apply.

Demand-map outputs use grouped, reduced-detail information rather than identifiable tenant pins. We use a minimum group size of five participating profiles, and may withhold or broaden a result even above that threshold when combinations of filters, location or timing could identify someone. The threshold alone is not a guarantee of anonymity. Exact search polygons, contact details and identifiable refusal comments are not public map outputs.

If you turn off demand-map participation, your identifiable inputs are excluded from future optional contributions. Statistics already rendered genuinely anonymous cannot ordinarily be linked back to remove a particular person; restricted identifiable source records remain subject to our retention rules.

9 AI and professional integrations

Where AI assistance is available, the feature notice explains the task, information sent, provider or provider information, and relevant limitations before use. We limit inputs to the selected task. Optional AI assistance does not authorize unrelated use of private messages or sensitive documents, and its output does not make rental or representation decisions for you.

Under this platform policy, private profiles, messages and documents are not supplied for training general-purpose AI models. An AI feature must not be enabled if its provider arrangements cannot support this restriction. Ordinary service processing and limited provider security review, where applicable, must be described accurately; absence of training does not mean absence of processing or storage.

A professional’s CRM connection, including Follow Up Boss where used, does not automatically enroll its contacts in public discovery, demand maps, platform marketing or contact sales. Imported records remain within the authorized organization and purpose. Any broader use needs its own lawful basis and, where required, the individual’s separate consent. Turning on matching in a workspace does not give unrelated users access to its contacts.

10 Service providers and other disclosures

We use service providers for functions such as hosting, authentication, communication delivery, payments, support, maps, security and approved AI or analytics features. Access is limited to the work they perform for us, with appropriate contractual and technical controls. We make current provider, processing-location and retention information available through feature notices or by contacting the Privacy Officer.

Some providers or authorized personnel may process information outside British Columbia or Canada. Information may then be subject to lawful access in those jurisdictions. We do not promise Canada-only storage. Before a feature sends information to an external provider, its notice must accurately reflect the deployed arrangement.

We may make disclosures required or permitted by law, for example in response to valid legal process, to address a qualifying emergency or fraud investigation, or in a lawful business transaction subject to required safeguards. A corporate sale is not permission for unlimited new uses. We do not disclose private information to unrelated data brokers under this Policy.

11 Paid features and personal information

Unrealium may charge users for tools or defined interactions, including an advertiser’s consented interaction with a prospective tenant. We describe the commercial arrangement and charge event before the paying user authorizes it. Where a feature involves a paid, consented contact disclosure, the sharing screen explains that context to the person whose information would be disclosed.

Paying does not create consent, widen the recipient’s permitted purpose or guarantee access to contact details. The platform does not permit bulk purchase or harvesting of private profiles. We describe actual disclosures and fees rather than asking you to treat your personal information as a platform-owned asset.

12 Cookies and messages

Necessary storage supports functions such as sign-in, security, your selected settings and a checkout you request. Optional analytics and similar non-essential tracking are off until you choose them. Rejecting optional tracking must remain as accessible as accepting it. You can revisit cookie choices; a new device or cleared browser storage may require a new local choice, while authenticated account preferences are applied where available.

Promotional email and SMS choices are separate from messages needed to complete a request or protect your account. We do not add promotional content to essential notices to bypass your preferences. Commercial electronic messages must have an appropriate legal basis, identify the sender and provide the required unsubscribe method. An internal inbox is not assumed to be exempt from anti-spam requirements merely because it is inside Unrealium.

You can unsubscribe from marketing without signing in. We act promptly and within any applicable legal deadline. If an electronic message has already been transmitted, a later setting change cannot recall it. Browser or device push permission alone does not authorize unrelated marketing.

13 Changing or withdrawing a choice

You can turn optional purposes off in Privacy and Consent, withdraw a specific recipient permission, use a message’s unsubscribe option or contact us. The setting explains its consequences before you enable it and when you turn it off. We record your choice and its scope so it can be respected across relevant systems.

Turning off a purpose blocks new optional processing for that purpose and cancels pending disclosures that depend on it. We remove affected discoverability and refresh relevant derived views. You can ask us to erase related information where it is no longer needed. Withdrawing contact sharing does not automatically cancel a booked appointment, delete a conversation or close your account; those actions are available separately.

Withdrawal cannot undo an earlier lawful disclosure or remove records that must be retained under law. It does not authorize a recipient to continue unrelated optional uses. We explain any applicable restriction or retention requirement and keep retained records out of withdrawn optional features. We do not charge a fee for changing privacy choices.

14 Retention and deletion

We retain information only for the purposes for which it remains necessary and for applicable legal obligations. Our retention schedule distinguishes active account data, communications, authority checks, transaction records, consent evidence, security logs and backups. You may ask the Privacy Officer about the period applying to a particular record.

When an account is closed or information is no longer needed, we remove it from active optional use and delete it or remove identifying associations according to the applicable schedule. Payment, dispute, consent and security evidence may require limited retention. Where BC law requires retention of information used to make a decision directly affecting you, the minimum retention period may apply even after withdrawal.

Backups are restricted and removed through their scheduled lifecycle. If a backup is restored, deletion and withdrawal restrictions must be reapplied before optional use resumes. Public copies, search-engine caches or information already held by another user may not be under our control. We can address our own publication and assist with identifying other responsible parties.

15 Security and access within Unrealium

We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access restrictions, secure transmission, organizational controls and review of service-provider arrangements. Authorized staff and contractors access information only for their assigned work and are subject to confidentiality and access requirements. We do not describe private messaging as end-to-end encrypted unless that protection is actually provided.

No system is risk-free. Risks can include unauthorized access, misuse by a recipient, re-identification of insufficiently grouped data and disclosure of public content beyond its original audience. We work to reduce those risks and respond to incidents, including notifying affected people or regulators where required by applicable law.

16 Access and correction requests

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, how it has been used or disclosed, and request access or correction. Send enough detail to privacy@unrealium.com to locate the relevant information. We use proportionate identity checks and do not require an account or purchase to make a request.

For requests governed by BC PIPA, we respond within 30 days unless a lawful extension or other applicable rule changes that deadline. If access is restricted, we explain the applicable reason and review options where required. You may complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia at www.oipc.bc.ca, or the appropriate authority for the matter. Contacting us first does not remove regulatory complaint rights.

17 Public content and reviews

Publishing a listing, professional profile or review makes the previewed content visible to its stated audience. Public material may be indexed or copied by others. A private account setting does not remove content you separately chose to publish; you can manage that content or ask us for assistance.

Private feedback is not automatically converted into a public review. Another person’s review may contain information about an interaction involving you. We assess objections, correction and removal requests under our content rules and applicable law; this Policy does not require you to surrender privacy or reputation rights. Verification documents and private contact details must not be included in reviews.

18 Policy updates and contact

We publish the Policy version and effective date and explain material changes. New optional purposes, audiences or sensitive uses require an appropriate fresh choice before they begin. Continued use of the website is not treated as agreement to switch optional purposes on.
